Australia cricket is well planned

This is an era dominated by India, their IPL and being financial HUB for cricket. In the wake of these things, Asutralia have not lost out having focus on financials and also on CRCIKET. This is a topic that we discussed at length when IPL took our cricket to ransom and we bowed down with players also swimming with the flow and kikcing off other opportunities. Aussie plan is quite the opposite, they will not lose out on their cricketing goals and will do all they must and can to keep quality cricket available for them in the form of test cricket and olso ODI's whils also having T20 in the scope.

If the plan goes through we will suffer even more and may be playing zim, Bangladesh more often as we used to have been doing in the past in test cricket.

What our administration plans to do in ICC meetings and then the board pkans to do in running cricket will determine whether we will actually be in the lower layer of cricket in real terms whilst being still known as a test playing country.

Australia could host India in four out of six years after Cricket Australia reached an in-principle agreement designed to ensure they host the marquee teams more often. The upcoming Australian summer features tours by Pakistan and West Indies, which is likely to mean less interest than when the major drawcards of India, England and South Africa visit.

However, when the new Future Tours Programme kicks in from 2012, Australia are hoping that one of the heavyweights will visit each summer. The idea is to split Test and one-day tours, so that a team like India or South Africa can visit one season for Tests and the following summer for one-dayers.

"The objective has been to spread the quality of touring teams over the period so that we get better value for the fans," Cricket Australia's spokesman Peter Young said in the Age. "If we get it right, we could have India touring here in four out of six years during the next FTP period."

Australia already tour India every year and have just embarked on a seven-match ODI series beginning in Vadodara on Sunday. The past three summers have seen England, India and South Africa visit Australia for Tests and next season the cycle returns to another five-Test Ashes series.

These matches between India and Australia are organised between the two countries outside the FTP, purely for financial reasons. You get the financial hub and arguably the best team team in the world together, thats the perfect combination to get the bank balance on the up. SL doesn't have the fianaces nor do they have a regularly performing team to bargain for such tours. This has been coming and its the duty of the ICC to impose a level playing field by coming up with a fair future tours progame where all test playing countries get to play each other on even terms.

Cheers!!
